Terms of use

These general terms of use (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of the Koody service, available at koody.fr, which provides preparation for the general theory test of the driving licence (highway code) in France.

Koody is published by Virginie MINEL, a sole trader based in France. The full legal notice appears on our legal notice page.

• Registration is free and open to people aged 15 and over.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
• You undertake to provide accurate information when registering.
• One account per person. Account sharing is prohibited (see article 7).

Koody offers:

• Highway-code practice questions in French, Arabic and English.
• Mock exams under the conditions of the official test.
• Personalised progress tracking.
• Targeted review of mistakes.

The service is available in a free version (limited access) and a paid version (full access via a “Pass”).

• Passes are one-time purchases for a fixed period (1 month, 2 months or 3 months).
• There is no automatic renewal: the Pass expires at the end of the chosen period.
• Prices are shown in euros. VAT does not apply (art. 293 B of the French tax code).
• Payment is secured via Stripe. Koody stores no bank data.

Under art. L221-28 of the French consumer code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for contracts to supply digital content not provided on a tangible medium whose performance has begun with the consumer’s agreement.

When purchasing a Pass, you will be asked to expressly consent to the immediate start of performance and to waive your right of withdrawal.

By using Koody, you undertake not to:

• Extract the content: systematically copy, reproduce, download or extract the service’s questions, answers, explanations or images, by any means (scraping, automation, mass screenshotting).
• Share your account: give your credentials to a third party or let a third party use your account. Koody reserves the right to suspend accounts showing abnormal activity.
• Redistribute the content: publish, resell or distribute Koody’s content on another medium, website or application.
• Compromise the service: attempt to bypass security measures, overload the servers, or exploit vulnerabilities.

Any breach of these rules may lead to the suspension or deletion of your account without refund.

The highway-code questions are inspired by the official theory-test syllabus. The Arabic and English translations, the explanations, the design, the source code and the Koody brand are the property of the publisher.

The images used are either from openly licensed sources (Pexels) or the property of the publisher. Attribution is given where applicable.

The processing of your personal data is described in our privacy policy. By using Koody, you acknowledge that you have read this policy.

You can delete your account at any time from your profile. Deletion results in:

• Erasure of your personal data (name, email, date of birth) within 30 days.
• Anonymisation of your usage data (progress, results): they are kept in aggregate, non-identifiable form.
• Loss of any active Pass, without refund.

Koody is a tool for preparing for the theory test. It does not guarantee success in the official exam. The publisher strives to keep the content accurate but cannot guarantee it is free of errors.

The service is provided “as is”. The publisher cannot be held liable for service interruptions, data loss or indirect damage related to use of the service.

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will be brought before the competent courts of the publisher’s place of residence, unless a legal provision favours the consumer otherwise.

The publisher reserves the right to change these Terms. Users will be informed by email or in-app notification. Using the service after notification constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
