- Material accident: stop, give your identity, complete an accident report, do not accept an arrangement without a report.
- The report must be signed by both parties and sent to the insurer within 5 working days.
- The ticked boxes on the front of the report carry more weight than the sketch for determining liability.
- Injury accident: apply the P.A.S. rule (Protect, Alert, Assist).
- Triangle at 30 m, visible at 100 m. Never on motorways.
- Emergency numbers: 112 (European), 15 (SAMU), 18 (fire brigade), 17 (police).
- Never move an injured person, remove a helmet, give drinks or describe their injuries to them.
- The defibrillator can be used without training: it only works if the heart has stopped beating.
