Recap
- Lighting serves to see (dipped beams, full beams, front fog) and to be seen (sidelights, brake lights, rear fog).
- Sidelights and dipped beams: never prohibited. Dipped beams recommended even when sidelights suffice.
- Full beams: compulsory on unlit roads. Switch to dipped beams when meeting, following closely or in bad weather.
- Rear fog light: only in fog or snow. 135 euro fine for misuse.
- Daytime running lights (since 2011): automatic, white, front only, do not replace other lights.
- Indicators clicking faster than usual = a bulb is probably blown.
- A dial allows you to adjust the dipped beam height when the vehicle is loaded.
- LED lights consume less energy and last longer than halogen ones.
